MPSPC Equips Leaders with Insights on SDGs and International Rankings
Bontoc, MP-March 25, 2024. MPSPC has taken a significant stride towards aligning its academic pursuits with global sustainability objectives and international recognition. The Quality Assurance Unit of MPSPC organized the first in a series of orientation activities titled "Information and Widest Dissemination: Sustainable Development Goals, World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) and Times Higher Education (THE)." This first session, which targeted unit heads from both the Bontoc and Tadian campuses, was held at the MPSPC Admin Conference Hall.
College officials and personnel of the Bontoc campus participated in the First Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill
To ensure the conduct a comprehensive earthquake drill that allows personnel to employ the knowledge and skills they acquired from their recent Basic Incident Command System Training, the Bontoc campus simulated 4 various scenarios within a 5.1 magnitude earthquake. The disaster theoretically caused a heavy damages to the Higher Education and the Administration Building with some structural portions collapsed. The disaster also reported 2 injured personnel from the Admin Building and two from the Academic Building (1 heavily injured and 1 mentally challenged). As expected, all College personnel evacuated to the assigned Evacuation Area at the Eyeb grounds.
MPSPC PRODUCES TWO NEW PROFESSORS; TEN OTHERS RECLASSIFIED
After surpassing the stringent validation of documents and the subsequent grueling accreditation by the Evaluation and Accreditation Committee composed of experts in Curriculum & Instruction, two faculty members of the Teacher Education Department โ Bontoc campus obtained their respective professorial ranks as per DBM-CHED Joint Circular No. 3, series of 2022 (JC3) and by virtue of BOT Resolution No. 154, series of 2024. Dr. Mark Preston S. Lopez, Vice President for Academic Affairs was reclassified from Associate Professor III to Professor V and Dr. Johnny P. Cayabas, Jr., Dean of the School of Advanced Education from Associate Professor V to Professor II.
SAE equips Bauko science teachers on Science Investigatory Project
To capacitate science teachers of Bauko in Making Science Investigatory Project, the School of Advance Education (SAE) is conducting a first-day training-workshop on โUpskilling the Specialized Science Junior High School Teachers on Science Investigatory Projectโ being held at the MPSPC Admin Conference Hall today, March 23. This comes as part of the SAE extension program through the Master of Arts in Science Education.
