Based on the results of the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) recently released by PRC on December 1, 2019, the Teacher Education Department performance surpassed the national passing rate for LET held last September 2019.

 

The Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) program of the Bontoc campus had an average passing rate of 67.16% for the examinees who took the exam for the first time with 47 out of 67 examinees hurdling the exam. Out of the 61 examinees considered as “repeaters” for taking the exam twice or thrice, only 11 of them passed the exam. Overall, the BEED program had an average passing rate of 43.75% against the 31.34% national passing rate.

For the Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) program of the Bontoc campus, 72 out of 118 examinees who took the exam for the first time made it, while only 11 out of the 86 repeaters passed. These ratings earned the program an average passing rate of 40.69% against the 39.68% national passing rate.

The BEED program of the Tadian campus had six passers out of the 15 ((40%) who took the exam for the first time while only one examinee out of the seven repeaters passed. Thus, the program recorded an overall 31.82% passing rate close to the 31.34% national passing rate. Meanwhile, the BSED program of the Tadian campus recorded a 42% passing rate with 19 out 45 takers who passed. The average passing rate of the program, however, lacked a few percentage to surpass the national passing rate with its  32.50% against the national passing rate of 39.68%.
