Aimed at promoting the library, books and reading as critical instruments for development, Essay Writing, Poster Making, Library Logo and Library Quest Contests were conducted at the Main Library. Said activities were cascaded from the activities designed by the National Library of the Philippines and centered on this year’s theme, “Libraries Take Action: Providing Access and Opportunity for All.”

Director for Libraries Fely A. Akilith emphasized that this activity aims to promote MPSPC libraries as a place for study and to encourage reading as a positive and enjoyable activity. “We need to remind the students regularly the importance of books and how these books can influence their lives,” Director Akilith added.

Winners were recognized in a simple awarding ceremony Monday, November 27, 2017 at the College Auditorium. /Wynner Sayaan
